MDT

This particular net was made for a man I met while on a fishing trip to his very own trophy trout lakes in Southern Oregon. He saw a few of the nets I had made from the people in my group and ordered one right on the spot! Now, this particular lake he has is filled with trophy sized rainbow trout. The largest out group caught was over 30 inches long, and had to have been roughly 18-20 lbs! Needless to say, these trout require a special net. And a very deep net bag so they don’t flip!

The 24 inch handle is made of the oh-so curly black walnut (Oregon grown), and stabilized burl maple (my Patchwork design) separated by two thin strips of sapele and walnut. A laminated bloodwood core strengthens the handle (love this wood combo!). MDT initials are hand carved, and inlaid with copper. Mike, I hope you enjoy this net!
